TEN DAYS
Ten days
I have been back home in the states for ten days now with
the 14th looming as I start to ready my journey back to India. It has been a jammed pack going here and
there visiting relatives and friends.
Actually, these last days I still have to visit my mother and a second
visit to a friend. I am enjoying their
company, catching up on four years of gossip, good and bad news. Much has changed in family and friends dynamics
some shocking and some expected however, more than not sad. Decisions made are not always wise and border
on selfish causing much unrest, struggles and pain.
I am staying with my son and family and I am queen for the
time here; pampering feels good. It does
a mother’s heart good to see my son successful, with a very loving and
supportive wife. They both work hard,
had times of struggle but now reap in abundance their sacrifice. Their home is peaceful.
Those I have seen cook me the many dishes I miss especially
Italian food. Home cook Italian food is
not even closely duplicated in restaurants there is always something missing. My sister in law and I went out for breakfast
one morning and laughed ourselves silly and everyone seating around us I am
sure was trying to figure out why we were so happy.
I miss being home and I miss the beauty of America, everything
being at one’s finger tips, and a sense of security. We Americans don’t always get it right but I
rather have our problems then the massive problems in HOT SPOTS around the
world. Then why not stay home because I
serve our Lord and this is His calling on my life. I can reject the hardships of this calling
but my commitment to serve far out weights my needs. This calling on my life from our Lord is an
honor for He NEVER judges if I was/am successful, did great things or the like
He judges did I do what He called me to; did I say yes.
I will enjoy the rest of my time here and be ready to
return to India with no regrets and peacefully happy.
