Because we say one thing and do another. When they hear the words of God on our lips, unbelievers are amazed at their beauty and power, BUT when they see that those words have NO effect in our lives, their admiration turns to scorn, and they DISMISS such words as myths and fairy tales. FAITH The precious jewel of our heart and soul is faith. It is the entity that drives our heart and soul to experience a journey of truth, action that strengthen us to a lively faith and unwavering trust. Our faith is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and His demonstration of faith in the years He was here on earth. Our faith is an action of our belief and the strength there of. The action of our faith is driven in what we believe. We never move in faith on what others believe. Example: Several years ago my friend was talking about his difficulties to me and after he was done sharing I said,” I will pray a rosary for your intentions.” He thought about my words and said “I do not believe in the rosary.” My answer was “I pray the rosary through my faith not your belief” which he understood.     GOOD AND EVIL We have become a society of judgment, hatred, anger, and forgetfulness. We forget what Jesus said at one place in His ministry “He without sin cast the first stone” we stand in the crowd sinful as we are and pass judgments. We are heartless in our approach and divorced of knowledge (first hand), understanding, with difficultly to discern without the companion of the Holy Spirit. Most of us whom are on this road of judgment and advice probably spend little time in prayer and or murmur words without a thought of their meaning. I write on the authority of the actions on how we are judging the many trials and circumstance we find ourselves in this is not the teachings of Christ, fellow Christians, or the gentle movement of the Holy Spirit. Mother angelica Mother Angelica served as my spiritual director.  Her programs on EWTN served in part to catapult my conversion the other being Mother Teresa in 2003.  I was on a long journey and for every step I took the more confused I got.  However, the merciful heart of Jesus would place Mother Angelica in my life resulting in placing my faith and trust on solid ground.  Her teachings and talks bought my relationship of Christ Jesus to a journey which to this day I am soaked in many graces, blessings and miracles. GOD HAVE MERCY Whenever, there is a photograph and /or an article posted about the suffering especially children we feel something and we say “GOD HAVE MERCY.”   However, we miss the message of Our Lord.  We His Christians are His MERCY.  We are in place we just have to move in the fullness of His grace of MERCY and be MERCIFUL.  MERCY being His grace is our ACTION.  We somehow feel this is His job; well He did His job and we are the product of His efforts. WHAT DO YOU THINK…FREEDOM? The statement about FREEDOM is not an absolute in all things is very true used in the right context.  However, when one tries to stretch this to cover personal beliefs, religious for sure then FREEDOM becomes a moot point.  Let me try to educate the educated who try to bully the common man to accept things that infringe on their FREEDOM.  Many so called FREEDOMS are not freedoms such as one cannot kill, threaten, bully, discriminate, force views, threaten the FREEDOMS of others, break secular laws and the list goes on.  However, no one but no one can FORCE their religious views on anyone else.  It is one’s FREEDOM to accept or reject their religion, convert to another or not. Bride of Christ As the break of a new day was beginning a cloud of destruction hovered over the Convent of Jesus and Mary in Ranaghat, Nadia, India distracting the start of this new day.  The looming cloud covered the slithering snakes as they made their way into the convent with desecration their obvious goal for this action has been taken before.  These snakes in the form of the evil and vilest of men after taking money went into the chapel and began their terror attack on the sanctuary by opening the tabernacle by force and taking the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ and strewing Him all over the floor. I SURRENDER ALL TO YOu I look forward to my personal retreats at POONDI MADHA BASILICA and this last time I went was no exception.  To reach the Basilica in India is no easy task the roads are narrow in many places but the picturesque view of the river and dam site is breath taking.  The banana leaves in their richness of color shimmer in the sunlight and on occasion one can see a peacock.  Poondi is a classic retreat place the rooms have only bed, bathroom, ceiling fan, one chair and small table.  The distractions and comforts one might need are null and void after all one is there to reconnect with Our Lord uninterrupted by the noise, entertainment, and problems of one’s personal life or the world itself.  Even the food is plain and basic with few choices from the restaurant on campus.  There are no other options.  This time at Poondi is truly a time of prayer, mass, adoration, and confession.   As for myself although I have a d...

In the Twenty-First Century we are seeing many individuals/families displaced with the wide spread of wars and dramatic weather changes. As heart wrenchingly tragic this is there is even a more devastating disaster that is at the forefront of homelessness, rejection. Every country has their homeless the ones that are shunned and invisible to the naked eye. The ones who are side step or walked over and we know them well perhaps they are our mothers, fathers, relatives and friends. We seemingly cannot make room in our lives to help them. This we feel causes a disruption in our lives that we are unwilling to endure. The felt distain refrains one from asking for help because the facts are eminently clear.
