RULE OF LIFE...THE HOLY SPIRIT

Image
St. Mary's Church, Negambo, Sri Lanka  RULE OF LIFE … THE HOLY SPIRIT Good morning Holy Spirit I dedicate this new day to one of love, prayer, suffering, sacrifice and service while controlling my tongue by being quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.   I journey this day to holiness with a lively faith, unwavering trust, with the fruits of patience, peace and humility.  I seek the gifts of wisdom, discernment, knowledge and understanding; with a heart of charity, kindness, mercy and forgiveness.  I will move and live in your Spirit; then there is no danger of my giving into the impulses of corrupt nature.  Holy Spirit I ask this day your harvest of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, forbearance, gentleness, faith, courtesy, temperateness, purity for your Spirit is the rule of my life. I will strive not to use harmful words when talking trying always to cultivate good in the heart of the one who hears my words....

Mother angelica Mother Angelica served as my spiritual director.  Her programs on EWTN served in part to catapult my conversion the other being Mother Teresa in 2003.  I was on a long journey and for every step I took the more confused I got.  However, the merciful heart of Jesus would place Mother Angelica in my life resulting in placing my faith and trust on solid ground.  Her teachings and talks bought my relationship of Christ Jesus to a journey which to this day I am soaked in many graces, blessings and miracles. I wrote to her letting her know about my joys and struggles.  She would send me books and rosaries one which I have and pray daily.  The other rosaries I passed on to those who were in need.  She taught me about suffering and sacrifice.  She spoke and many non-Catholics wrote her and listen to her.  She had a simplicity to teach the very, at times, complications of the faith.  Coming back to Jesus was confess...

Lent is a special time of prayer, penance, sacrifice and good works in preparation of the celebration of Easter.  The emphasis of Lent must be placed on performing spiritual works, like attending the Stations of the Cross, attending Mass, making a weekly holy hour before the Blessed Sacrament, taking time for personal prayer and spiritual reading and most especially making a good confession and receiving sacramental absolution. Although the practices may have evolved over the centuries, the focus remains the same: to repent of sin, to renew our faith and to prepare to celebrate joyfully the mysteries of our salvation. Therefore, I am devoting my 40 days to my journey in Christ Jesus...I will be back after Easter...Please  pray for me!  Linda Mary

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY Sunday May 10 th is Mother’s Day a celebration in the USA where I am familiarized.  It is a special day set aside just for mom a true day of, allowed pampering, by her from her children.  Wherever the children live they try to make an effort to come home and be with mom!  The celebration can include flowers, candy, and dinner including a host of mom’s favorite likes.  However, her favorite is her family gathered around her where reminiscing is sure to occupy the family conversations bringing laughter and joy to her day. Mother’s Day is a celebration that can be adopted by anyone on any day therefore, give your mom a memorable day of her own of love, laughter and seeing YOU her precious child and your family.  DEDICATED:  TO ALL MOM’S AROUND THE WORLD…HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!    ©Crayon drawing of the IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY by FRANCO JOSEPH Mother Mary is the Mother of us all and she is loved and honor ...

VALLEY OF TEARS

Image
VALLEY OF TEARS There is no one country that is perfect; decisions are made at times causing tragic results.  Democratic countries look at their errors which at times is fueled by vengeance and or greed because Democracy is a check and balance Governance.  Justice plays a role in bringing Democracy back to its roots as well as government agencies, courts, intelligence, and parliamentary representatives.  Therefore, if a Democratic Governance is in place and developed no one person, party, group has total power to dictate over any person’s freedoms and rights.  The present party in India the BJP has some radical groups that the law turns a blinds eye too.  The poor approximately 80% are either illiterate or have had a sparse education.  They are won over by what they hear not really taking into account the consequences of a smooth talker with a charismatic personality.  They judge and make decisions that will lift them from their VALLEY O...

SEPTEMBER 8, 2009

SEPTEMBER 8, 2009 I arrived in Mumbai, India on September 8, 2009 from a direct flight of 18 hours from the USA.  I was met at the airport by my Indian friend and mission partner I met on My Space Franco Joseph. The circumstance that lead this 63 year old woman to make this decision to go to India leaving family and friends while giving away all my worldly possessions was because I was called by Our Lord.  I came to India with only two 50 LB suitcases, 27 LB carry on, which now held all my worldly possessions. The miracles of Our Lord that continues to bless my life I note here in praise and thanksgiving. When I received the calling I had been living a rather reclusive life due to heart problems tempered with secondary conditions.  I walked with a walker, slept in a recliner chair, and only left my apartment about four times a year for medical appointments.  My life was prayer, taking care of my grandson, having someone do my shopping and bring me the Holy Eucha...
