COMPUNCTION Lent is upon us with the start of Ash Wednesday today.  This is the time for me to commit my Life in Christ and surrender myself to His direction moving forward in my spiritual life as I spend time in penance and reparation.  It is a reflecting time of how my year was and the changes I want to make.  I push all the unnecessary “things” of mind, body and spirit that take up time and space from God and I recommit to filling these useless space with wanting to deepen my “love”, spend more time in “prayer” and “serve” Him as I “serve” others.  COMPUNCTION:  Is a word not commonly used anymore it means a deep and lasting sorrow for sin.  It is not meant to bring us to a depression but aware of sin, its damage to our soul, the wall that builds up between us and God, and the suffering sin causes to society.  We have to know that sin is death physical and spiritual we bask in as a result of turning from God.  When COMPUNCTIO...

LONELINESS  “I’m lonely.  And I’m lonely in some horrible deep way and for a flash of an instant, I can see just how lonely, and how deep feelings runs.  And it scares the shit out of me to be this lonely because it seems catastrophic.”  Auguesten Burroughs, Dry  Loneliness is the by-product of rejection.  Living a life of loneliness distresses the heart, crushes the spirit and more often than not leads to depression. Depression brings a darkness within the soul condemning the life of the soul to utter destruction and possibly death.  Although it is said many times an act of failed suicide is for attention however, it is more likely a cry for help.  It is a staggering to be left to live in the state of loneliness.  Nevertheless, for some the life of rejection and loneliness is more than one can bear, can be an indication to suicide.
