THROUGH THE EYE OF AN ABUSED CHILD

What is seen in the reflection of the eye of an abused child is it’s ABUSER. A child does not see the innocence of their station in life but only pain and horror. It is horrible enough the abuse coming from an outsider but the crushing blow to the heart and spirit of a child is when the act comes from a parent or sibling. We at WE A SERVANT OF CHRIST MISSION see and are told from the children who come to the mission about beatings received mostly by the fathers for one reason or another. The children use the word beating and the age of the child holds no merit. I witness two days ago a 20 year old woman being hit by her father and mother before going to work and the another night a child being hit on the head by her father. Last night some of the children gathered at the mission and among them were a 9 year old child who comes sporadically since her father made it known not directly to the mission but to the neighborhood and the child of his discontent. However, he does give permission on occasion for her and her sister to come therefore, he sends mix messages to everyone. I ask her if she had permission to be at the mission and she said yes. It was just then she lifts her shirt and on the calf of her thin leg was a 2” by 3” oval one week old burn wound. My guess it was a 3rd degree burn with large crusted scabs and pink center. As I looked at the burn wound I could just hear her screams especially the applying of oil on it, which the family thought would help but it added to her pain. It is only by the grace and mercy of our Lord it did not get infected. I applied Soframycin skin cream. We were to learn later after the grandmother ask who applied the cream that her son cannot be reasoned with, the child does not listen, and her and his wife are hit for letting the child out of the house. India has in its government system BRIBING and although unacceptable it starts at the highest part of government to the person at the desk to obtain say a copy of your phone bill and depending on how much money you have the police accept bribes to keep situations hushed. Laws on the books can easily turn a blinds eye to the breaking of them. Therefore, abuse is quieted or by hushed voices or money. There is no working rescuing of an abused child of the powerful or to the families who live for the few kernels of rice for the children under these conditions. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. This verse in Ephesians sums up the continuation of the grave sin of ABUSE there is a stronghold which keeps this practice.. The only way to eradicate the STRONGHOLD OF SATAN is by prayer and fasting.
