MY ELDEST IS 50
MY eldest
is 50
My eldest son Johnny turns 50 today. He is the pride of this mother’s heart and
blessed I cannot be more. His life is
one that brings me joy and happiness. He
is giving, kind and generous who is always there for family and friends and
does it without complaint or annoyance these attributes I speak of are second
nature, his heart beat his breath.
He has a heart of forgiveness and readily takes back into
his life those close to him that have hurt him with acceptance at the purest
level holding no condemnation against them.
He is a hard worker and all that he has attain in his
personal life he did it. What he has he
shares; hording nothing to self.
His antics as a child have given me stories to tell and I
share with you. When Johnny was two he
wanted to be a nudist; he would be in the backyard playing and all of a sudden
I would hear the next store neighbor’s kids yelling Mrs. Jensen! Mrs. Jensen,
Johnny took all his clothes off. I ran
out snatched up the naked jay bird and tried to reason with two year old
stripping in the backyard was a no! no!.
He would laugh while I dressed him and sending back outside to play. The next thing I know it I hear the dreaded
Mrs. Jensen, Johnny took his clothes off.
Evidently the boy missed the lecture and could not fathom the drama his nakedness
was causing after all he was free. This
time I gave the short lecture of why his clothes were not to come off with a
pat to his behind. Well this worked he
did not take his clothes off but there would be many times of Mrs. Jensen,
Johnny was doing something or another.
The second story comes when he was about 13. I had gone to work and he being home had evidently
too much time on his hands. At work it
was slow so the employers were asking if anyone wanted to go home early and I
happily volunteered. When I arrived home
I changed my clothes and went to sit in the backyard. It was a beautiful summer day and I enjoyed
sitting by the lagoon. I notice our boat
was missing from the dock and I became frantic wondering what could have happen
to it. Then I realized that Johnny wasn’t
around and he was forbidden to take the boat out when no one was home. Suddenly down the lagoon I see the boat
coming ever so slowly home for the captain of boat saw the admiral on the dock
with hands on hips and scowling. When he
dock the boat and sheepishly got out to tie it up the whole neighborhood heard
Mrs. Jensen. Needless to say he was
grounded for a week and never again did he take the boat out without
permission.
Johnny who weigh in at 11 lbs and 22 inches long has given
me many memories of smiles and he continues to do so. Thank you Lord for showering your blessing on
me with my son Johnny.
