IT’S NOT A PRETTY SIGHT

There is a perception by some males (more than I care to think) that their penis shooting urine is the image of every women’s day, a fulfilled dream.  Sorry guys, it is not. Nothing is more disgusting to see on the side of roads, in front of a wall, or in front of your house.  How can the dignity of a human being make themselves take this action is there no shame?

This action comes as no surprise in India the toilet less country.  Toilets for the public use are sparse especially if you are traveling.  Many huts or village homes do not have toilets.  It was the tradition not to have toilets in the home as they are seen to be dirty and to go out in the jungle away from the home was the better option.  However, the jungle is becoming more inhabited thus the open space is very less.

 

The crimes of going to the jungle (due to news expose) of woman/children being ganged raped, murdered or maimed is dangerous.  It is in this light the subject of toilets are debated and the results is the ever slow wheels of progress, have made very small changes here and there. 

MY COMMENTARY:

Hey, I understand guys about trying to find a toilet but out in the open on the curb of the road, not even interested in hiding behind a bush or tree, not going behind the wall but in front for all to see, come on!

We tend to think of a certain class of men who would do this but not in India.  The men I've seen who openly urinate for all to see are working class driving up to date cars, the well-dressed from their motorcycles and last but not least even those who wear white shirt and lungi, from a new white SUV and the political party flag donning the front of the vehicle.  I've seen some out in the open peeing while having a phone conversation.  I have been in situations where I was waiting in a parked car and men come on the side or in front of it and urinate.

I am associated with men as part of my mission work if you will, who know how to be dignified in their actions as I am sure there are more I have yet to meet.  This is not to besmirch India's men this is a simple blog with a simple message: 

IF YOU GOTTA GO HIDE BEHIND A BUSH OR TREE FOR LETTING IT ALL HANG OUT IS NOT A PRETTY SIGHT!!!!
