The title’s wise words of the Indian Prime Minister Modi who is the leader of the largest Democracy in the world.  Unfortunately the Democratic government of India runs not at full compactly.  It has a way of eliminating the rights of some at any given agenda presented or trying to shrewdly pull the wool over the eyes of those who cannot understand what is going on I speak of the farmers.

The globing trotting PM went to several countries to romance investors to India, which is a good thing however, the promises made to intoxicate industrialists was not in place.  Everyone with smiles wants to invest therefore, Modi needs prime land with all the transportation routes in place along with anything else, which was not there.  The arrogance was the promise it will be there thus the full court press against the farmers.

 

The Modi Government thought a foot on the throats of the farmers would forcibly intimate them and they would obtain what they want however, they discounted a move from Anna, Social Worker and Freedom Fighter along with other parties joining a protest against this encroachment of the farmers.  According to Anna,” the farmers would not be left with a legal recourse that is not controlled by the government.”  The livelihood of the farmers is discounted, and going out on a limb I can almost be assured the price of the land will be below market value.

The protest was a sizable one not to be ignored and if the Modi Government with all its kissy kissy huggy huggy persona needs to tread lightly as they take this issue back up later this month.

The health and welfare of the farmers is NOT more Yoga places to stem the tide of the farmers committing suicide but to hear their plea and BE JUST IN ALL DECISIONS made in a Democratic Society.

 

MY COMMENTARY:

India needs both industry and farming they are not mutually exclusive at the expense of the other. 

It has been reported that investors are getting JITTERY over the problems the Modi Government is having in moving forward.  It can be said the watchful eye of investors will be looking at the inner workings of India and the issue with the farmers which is glaring.

When India moves into the world, the eyes of the world scrutinizes to a fault and the eyes of the world has a way of seeing all that glitters is NOT GOLD.
