HOLY WEEK 2015

I am leaving Holy Thursday at 4 a.m. for a retreat ending on Easter at Poondi Madha Basilica, India.  I am happy to be able to spend Holy Week there and visit with the nuns at the Convent.  As I have said before it is the most peaceful place where for a few days cut off from the problems of the world and can easily stay focused on my spiritual time of communing with Our Lord in prayer and meditation.  External disruptions, stresses and anxieties are mute.

Wishing all a BLESSED HOLY WEEK AND SPIRIT FILLED EASTER!

RETURNING

  It has been at least four years since I have written anything.  My mission life came to a halt in 2018 when I became very ill while in India.  I spent two and half months in a hospital in India with a 5% chance of survival from my surgery and a 5% chance of surviving Critical Care.  I received amazing care. I was sent back to the states for further treatment especially since I lost my ability to walk.  It was physiological.  It took 9 months before I could walk but walk I did.  The surgery left me with a Colostomy which was troublesome, to say the least.  However, in June of this year, I had a colostomy reversal which was a success and all is back to normal.  I am in a Nursing Home with other medical issues.  It took me until now to accept my life here.  I am in a private room which allows me my quiet, prayer time, crocheting and interacting with friends in the home.   I decided this morning to go back to writing...I hope you will take this journey with me.   Linda Mary Liotino
