SPIRITUAL TERRORISM
Terrorism is the unofficial or unauthorized use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims and this generally how we all see the act of terrorism however, in thinking about this, one could come to the conclusion we are terrorists. Our weapon is not military hardware but our mouths which can spew out our hateful hearts. We do not behead however, we can imprison, torture, oppress, break down and even murder one’s spirit. Proverb 12:18a there is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword…is this us?
Harsh words spewed from a hurtful heart can cause the otherwise strong to crumble under those words. Like a verbally abused child who tries to understand their wrongs while not seeing the wrong is not in them. The constant onslaught of verb terrorism eventually breaks the spirit of the child perhaps for the rest of their life; serving those problems that are never resolved because of their broken spirit. This can be said for anyone of any age who goes through the dominance of power that plagues their everyday life.
Proverb 12:22a Lying lips are abomination to the Lord…Lying to hold hostage by the breaking of a spirit who eventually believes the lies is “Spiritual Terrorism.” We try to convince our unfaithfulness to another is bought on by them and not us. The justification of the innocent party accused and made to bear the fault of another is Spiritual Terrorism.
These are two examples have a host of different ways to Spiritual Terrorism. Other examples is bullying, cursing, belittling, sabotaging another’s self worth, arrogance, superiority, class stratification, demanding and so on so forth. James 1:19…But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; this ought to be our daily prayers along with Lord make my heart kind and charitable. When these two prayers prayed at the start of our day we surrender our will to God’s word and action. When we mess up He quickens our spirit to see ourselves and make the necessary corrections while praying once more Lord, make me to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger while surrendering our will to His word and the action of our heart to His.
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me “Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter;” could this apply to the storms, fears, hopelessness one impose on another to break the will and cause Spiritual Terrorism?
