ADVENT 2015

Advent is a time of PEACE and HOPE in anticipation of the spiritual wonder of CHRISTMAS.  It is a time to breathe in the beauty of the coming of OUR LORD.  We NEED to take extra quiet time and soak up OUR LORD through prayer and devotion. 

The present situation in the world today CROWDS our minds with worries, fears, in occupation of all what ifs.  We have somehow allowed all the adverse activities of the world to take over our lives to the point we are forgetting PEACE and HOPE.  At times we cannot envision PEACE and HOPE for it is lost in terror of the terrorists.

If I were to hit home to us we are NOT left abandon.  We have the POWER in CHRIST JESUS.  We are the children of His/ our MOTHER we are PROTECTED.  We need to give ourselves a BREAK from looking at a continual streams of news of the same things over and over again with politicians and governments having no answer on how to fix this.  We should encourage and lift one another’s spirits with positive thoughts in JOY and SMILES. 

The focus of us all should be the PEACE and HOPE of the SEASON.  There is no better calming and spiritual quietness then through the SACRED HEART of JESUS and the IMMACULATE HEART of His MOTHER.  Therefore, lets us meditate on the joyful anticipation OUR MOTHER experienced and let PEACE and HOPE sing within our hearts and souls of her joy.

Let us always keep in mind PAPA GOD left his precious son JESUS in the PROTECTION of the womb of MOTHER MARY and later gave her to us at the CROSS!  Therefore, do not let satan create fear and doubt to what we are called to in JESUS NAME and have a BLESSED ADVENT of PEACE AND HOPE…

RETURNING

  It has been at least four years since I have written anything.  My mission life came to a halt in 2018 when I became very ill while in India.  I spent two and half months in a hospital in India with a 5% chance of survival from my surgery and a 5% chance of surviving Critical Care.  I received amazing care. I was sent back to the states for further treatment especially since I lost my ability to walk.  It was physiological.  It took 9 months before I could walk but walk I did.  The surgery left me with a Colostomy which was troublesome, to say the least.  However, in June of this year, I had a colostomy reversal which was a success and all is back to normal.  I am in a Nursing Home with other medical issues.  It took me until now to accept my life here.  I am in a private room which allows me my quiet, prayer time, crocheting and interacting with friends in the home.   I decided this morning to go back to writing...I hope you will take this journey with me.   Linda Mary Liotino
