INFANT CHILD JESUS

I have always wanted a statue of the INFANT CHILD JESUS and I am on search for the one I saw in a gift shop some twenty years back.  When I saw the statue I wanted it was about 18 inches high with the most amazing red colored layered dress exquisitely made with precious stones.  It just took my breath away however, at that time so did the price over 100$.  I would go to the shop and buy other things keeping an eye on my statue (that I was saving to buy) making sure it was still in the shop.

One day while driving home I saw the shop window was bare and shop vacated.  I cannot tell you how sad and heartbroken I was.  To this day I keep searching but in the meantime I bought a small ceramic statue.

My friend Franco was trying to come up with a subject he wanted to draw but to no avail.  I suggested he draw me the INFANT CHILD JESUS and he did.  Although it is not a statue it is the best and most beautiful drawing.  I am so bless to have such a talent in my friend and one I am bless to have at my whim.  WOW!!! LIFE IS GOOD!

Thank you Lord, for your instrument Franco, a gift of your love.  Thank you Franco for the drawing a priceless treasure.

RETURNING

  It has been at least four years since I have written anything.  My mission life came to a halt in 2018 when I became very ill while in India.  I spent two and half months in a hospital in India with a 5% chance of survival from my surgery and a 5% chance of surviving Critical Care.  I received amazing care. I was sent back to the states for further treatment especially since I lost my ability to walk.  It was physiological.  It took 9 months before I could walk but walk I did.  The surgery left me with a Colostomy which was troublesome, to say the least.  However, in June of this year, I had a colostomy reversal which was a success and all is back to normal.  I am in a Nursing Home with other medical issues.  It took me until now to accept my life here.  I am in a private room which allows me my quiet, prayer time, crocheting and interacting with friends in the home.   I decided this morning to go back to writing...I hope you will take this journey with me.   Linda Mary Liotino
